Some of my earliest work (1980s - 1990s), these landscapes were photographed using a 4x5 field camera. Early on I was inspired by the works of noted photographers Ansel Adams and Eliot Porter, and the Zone System. My goal during this period was to capture and render landscapes as faithfully as possible. The 4x5 format provided exceptional detail in the images.

Color images were captured on Ektachrome transparencies and printed on Ektachrome Radiance paper, and maintain their vibrance today. The B&W images were captured on a variety of Kodak films and printed on silver-based papers.
